City Modra

The two oldest and most beautiful holiday areas Harmonia and Piesok are situated in the gorgeous surroundings of Little Carpathian scenery and both has been a resort for holiday and tourism since the end of 19 th century. The Club of Modra’s hikers founded in the year 1892 played an important role in the development of these areas. At that time was already built the chain of good-quality restaurants and accommodation facilities. The Forest Park Modra is situated on 640 hectare in the beautiful environment of beech’s woods and oak’s woods. This entire tourist district is covered by paths and trails, which give a lot of opportunities for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Three ski lifts operate at Piesok during the wintertime. Tisove skaly is protected natural monument situated also in the Forest Park. The tourist view-tower on the hill Ve ľ ka Homola has become a favorite viewpoint and a significant place of tourism in Little Carpathian Region.

The football stadium, handball playground, fitness center, swimming pool as well as artificial climbing wall are directly in the town.
